This is the story of “Sunset Honda”

 

Some of our members were getting Christmas jobs at Car Dealerships and personally I had never done a single car dealerships before.  Our company had done mostly corporations, so I wasn’t sure how to break into this market. I discovered GM’s were impossible to catch by phone, plus they walk on water anyway, so how was I going to find out if they were even interested in Christmas decorations?

Instead of walking in, which is just too scary, I parked in front and made a few drawings of their car lot, trees, light poles, and carport where they took in repairs. It was a simple design, nothing fancy, just an overview of the dealership without the cars.

I prepared a bid, drove over & gave the proposal plus my portfolio to the receptionist. I asked her to deliver both to the GM and told her I would pick up the portfolio the next day.  When I went back, sitting on top of the portfolio was a signed contract! 

They loved what we did, & the following year they doubled their order! The third year they remodeled the showroom and wanted a huge tree for the lobby, 2 days of work had just jumped to $4600.00 in profits.

After Christmas, they decided they wanted a Plant Service and that was $240.00 per month! This last season, we added a little extra Christmas around the showroom and a few decorations at the sales area so it went from $4600 to $4900.00! 

One good customer can lead to many, many more!
